„"Personal branding" is English. And Aldi is German. When my wife Margaret came to Germany 20 years ago, she was visited by her brother Norbert. Norbert established himself on Rodeo Drive Beverly Hills with his CheeseStore Beverly Hills. Both went together shopping at ALDI in Bad Homburg. The attention for service was still not very developed at ALDI. What mattered was the speed with which the purchase is getting "executed" at the cash register. It is and was never fashion to pack the customer´s purchase and carried the goods to the car. That has also not changed until today. Norbert could hardly believe, so as to operate a business and was about to leave the store. He keeps personal contact with his customers who shop with him. The times have changed: ALDI are still with competitive prices, but more recently, with particularly high levels of employee remuneration, as the example of the USA shows. ALDI will be attractive for employees, as you can read in the following Forbes article . Personal branding describes how we are perceived and want to be perceived. This is not always the same.
The Internet and the personal interaction that is shifting more and more to mobile applications, dialogue with customers, employees and suppliers changes. Regardless of whether independent or belonging to a larger organization, but each is one with his name. Personal check as a matter of course, on how a candidate moves on the Internet and the findability of self is reflected in the personal branding in the terminology again, what they stand for and want to be found.
